Answers to common questions about shopping, bidding, payments and delivery.
BidShop combines ordinary online shopping with live penny-auction style bidding. You can browse normal Shop products, take part in live auctions, and manage purchases through one account.
No. Public Shop products and auction listings can be browsed without logging in. An account is required when you want to bid, add products to your cart, place an order, make a payment, or manage account activity.
The current BidShop bidding model uses either one bid credit or R2.00 from the Rand balance for an accepted manual bid, depending on the funds available in your account. The server determines the valid funding source and records each accepted bid.

Eligible losing bidders may receive a time-limited Buy Now offer. Accepted bids from that auction contribute toward the protected purchase value. Any protection value above the product price is not paid out as cash, wallet credit, or a transferable balance.

An order is marked paid only after the relevant payment has been approved. Uploading proof by itself does not automatically mark an order as paid.
